Synthesis Of Aminoquinone Derivatives Via Electrochemical...

A Simple and convenient one pot synthesis of aminoquinone derivatives via electrochemical approach Jyoti Malviya1, Shashi Kala2, Hemlata Singh3, R.K.P.Singh* Electrochemical Laboratory of Green Synthesis Department of Chemistry, University of Allahabad Allahabad – 211002, U.P., India. Email: singhrkp1@gmail.com, rkp.singh@rediffmail.com Abstract A simple and efficient method for the convenient synthesis of aminoquinones have been described on reaction with catechol and various secondary amines using lithium perchlorate as a supporting electrolyte in acetonitrile media at platinum electrode under constant potential electrolysis.. The method is cost-effective, high-yielding, clean, and selective. The products of electrosynthesis have been purified and characterized by FTIR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR and mechanism was deduced with cyclic voltammetric study. Keywords: Anodic oxidation, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical synthesis, o-benzoquinone secondary amines. 1. Introduction: The anodic oxidation of a catechol generates a reactive o-benzoquinone that can be used to trigger a number of interesting reactions [1-5] and play an important role in the redox electron transport chains of living systems [6-8] for example, vitamine K is known to play an important role in blood coagulation mechanism and also in photosynthesis, vitamine E is important factor in electron transport and oxidative phosphorylation. The Islamic State Of Iraq And Al Sham - 1471 Words

Joshua Bacon Ed Rowe American Security Overview 26 January 2016 The Islamic State, also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), follows a distinct variety of Islam whose beliefs about the path to the Day of Judgment define its strategy, and can help the West know its enemy and predict its behavior. Its rise to power is less like the triumph of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt (a group whose leaders the Islamic State considers apostates) than like the realization of a dystopian alternate reality. The White House has consistently said that it aims to destroy the Islamic State. For more than a year, limited U.S. airstrikes have poked at the terrorist group to little avail. ISIS still controls half of Syria and nearly a third†¦show more content†¦Peter Bergen, who interviewed bin Laden in 1997, titled his first book Holy War, Inc. in part to acknowledge bin Laden as a creature of the modern secular world. Bin Laden corporatized terror and franchised it out. He requested specific political concessions, such as the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Saudi Arabia. His foot soldiers navigated the modern world confidently. Before terrorist Mohamed Atta’s was executed by the U.S., he shopped at Walmart and ate dinner at Pizza Hut on his last full day of life. If we had identified the Islamic State’s intentions early, and realized that the vacuum in Syria and Iraq would give it ample space to carry them out, we could/should have pushed Iraq to harden its border with Syria and preemptively make deals with its Sunnis. That would have prevented Iraq’s third-largest city from falling under ISIS control. Yet, just over a year ago, President Obama told The New Yorker that he considered ISIS to be al-Qaeda’s weaker partner. â€Å"If a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant,† the president said. Our failure to appreciate the split between the Islamic State and al-Qaeda, and the essential differences between the two, has led to dangerous decisions. As an example, last fall, the U.S. government consented to a desperate plan to save American aid worker Peter Kassig’s life. The plan required interaction of

â€Å"It’s hard to keep a secret when it’s written all over your body. † Julia Hobans. This quote is a part of my life. We will write a custom essay sample on My Childhood Memories or any similar topic only for you Order Now If someone where to look at my body they would find I have more than my fair share of scares, and on top of that I have lived in the most incomprehensibly breathtaking places in the United States; I’ve also lived in the most distastefully horrid places in the country. But the people and one place that has changed me the most on the inside and as well as the outside in Spring Valley CA. Imagine living in a one bedroom, one bathroom tiny cookie cutter an apartment, in the middle of the Spring Valley projects. You always hear the ear splitting sound of a gun being shot, and the obnoxious screaming of a cop siren going down the street. Then every night when you go to bed something is stabbing you in the back and you don’t dare move because if do then you would lose your spot. That was my life for a good five and a half years until I turned 14 then my whole life changed. When I choose to move out and to live in my friend Kevin in his house still in Spring Valley. Now Kevin was a few years older than I was, but he was like my brother. Kevin introduced me to Devon, one of his younger friends. He was about my age; about 5. 6’ 5. 7’ with eyes the color of dark brown leather and skin that had a small tan. While I hung out with them more and more I started to get into horrible things like marijuana, meth, and all other different kinds of drugs. I started to like the feelings that I was getting every time I did any of the drugs made me feel like I didn’t have a care in the world or that I could do anything I wanted to that nothing could stop me. With all this Devon introduced me to new people and places. That had exotic parties and drugs to mach. But as time went on I started to get tired of doing the same thing and I start having to pay more and more to get that much sought out for high. But I couldn’t leave, I didn’t know why then but I know now it was, because I was scared of leaving the one guy who ever really noticed me and showed what I thought was love.
